CHEF’S HOME-MADE SOUP **
Ask our waiter to see what the chef has prepared especially for today. Served with hot artisan bread and butter.

All of our salad dishes are served on a bed of rocket and mixed leaves with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, red onion and served with a honey and mustard dressing. All topped with your salad topping below.

The Grill

MIXED GRILL
Rump steak, gammon, chicken breast and sausage cooked on our grill to your liking. Served with home-made chunky chips, onion rings, grilled tomato, flat mushroom, fried egg and peas.

GAMMON
Slice of gammon grilled and served with your choice of egg and/or pineapple and our home-made chunky chips and garden peas.

STEAK
10 oz rump steak cooked to your liking over our grill and served with our home-made chunky chips, onion ring, grilled tomato, flat mushroom, fried egg and garden peas.

6 oz beaf pattie with melted cheese and bacon served on a brioche bun with full garnish and our home-made slaw.

fresh local produce

We pride ourselves on using fresh local produce.

Here at the hotel with have a prime opportunity to work with local farmers, food producers and retailers to give you the best locally sauced menu. Our breads are baked in Diggle at the Saddleworth Cookery School, and our diary products are sourced from Saddleworth Milk, a local farmer based within Saddleworth and only delivers to this area.  

We use a local retailer to get our fruit and vegetables and our meat is supplied from butchers based in Uppermill who ensure his stock is all British and where possible from the North West of England.  

When your wanting a fresh pint from the moors we would recommend that you sample Tiger Rut, a local cask pale ale first brewed in 2006. This poplar local beer is brewed less than 5 miles away from the Hotel and offers you a refreshing bitter ale with aromas of grapefruit.
