Frequently Asked Questions
Sometimes we get questions asked numerous times throughout the year and we thought we would compile a few of those into a page where you can check to see what a possible answer is to a question you may be thinking. It just makes things easier for us to give you as much information on our website in order for you the customer to make an informed decision.
Where is the nearest airport?
Manchester airport is located approximately 20 miles away from the Diggle Hotel, you can reach the airport by car, train or Metrolink. Journeys by train or Metrolink will require a change most likely in the city centre of Manchester. There will be a short journey from the hotel to the required stations. Leeds and Bradford airport is also reasonable close to the hotel located approximately 25 miles away.
Do we need a car to get around?
We would advise you to travel by car, whilst we have a reasonable local transport in place these services run approximately every hour.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes, of course, we accept all major credit and debit cards including American express.
Can we bring our pet?
We accept pets with prior notification, for dogs we provide a water bowl and dog bed included within the additional charge for pets.
What happens if we have to cancel?
Unfortunately, our advance bookings are non-refundable, however, should there be a change in our circumstances, and you can re-arrange your travel plans we will work with you to accommodate you subject to availability.
Flexible & Room only bookings:
Our flexible bookings are only charged on arrival, this booking arrangement gives you the right to change your dates (subject to availability) or cancel your booking free of charge with up to 48 hour’s notice, for those bookings cancelled or changing of dates with less than 48 hours notice there will be a charge for the first nights booking of all the rooms you have booked
Do you have free car parking?
Yes, we have two car parks capable of holding approximately 15 cars, We are currently investigating ways to provide electric charge points and hope this can become available during 2020.
What time is check in/check out?
Our guests are welcome to check in from 4pm on the day of their arrival, if you arrive early and your room is prepared for you we will be happy to check you in (please note due to covid-19 cleanliness guidelines rooms will need to be clear for approximately 45 minutes after our house keeping team have completed the cleaning).
We would ask that all our guests can check out of their rooms by 10am on their morning of departure, We have an arrangement in place where you bags can be left securely until you wish to leave the area, or have arranged for them to be collected.
I have food allergies, can you accommodate me?
All our menus have a prepared allergen chart for the 14 most common allergens, as required by the food standards agency, all of our team have been trained in food allergens and will be happy to advise and double check with you for your allergens. We have also taken great care in preparing an integrated food menu for our guests with dietary requirements and have clearly marked choices suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians on our menu’s. if you have any questions before or during your stay please contact our team and we will be more than happy to assist and reassure you of your options.
